Professional truth about what inspired me to become a Coach!

I am not here by happenstance. I hope neither are You. My personal, professional, and spiritual mission is to encourage and empower people to be the best, most fulfilled version of themselves in life and in their careers. Don’t have a career and desire to have one? Let me help you with that! My path to a career was anything but traditional. When it was time to make decisions about college and careers – I had no idea – Yes, I have been there! I did not immediately go to college. However, I eventually endeavored to advance my education and trainings from an associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees, but not without uplifting nudges from mentors, goal setting, determination, a little hard work, and a lot of discipline.

Then, serving for more than two decades in employment service and workforce development roles, little did I know I was being set-up to be sentout to Life-Career and Mentor-Coach. The years working in government and with federally funded programs were rewarding and good things didhappen for individuals, but I can recall saying “there’s got to be more we can do to help individuals find their direction in life”. A career-job with benefits could change their life and impact their families. My heart was troubled every time I didn’t see that happen. I thought, some people may just need someone to talk it through with; to listen their needs and challenges. To create a safe space for conversations to happen and to journey with them for the time needed. Encourage individuals to set goals, challenge them to reach those goals, and celebrate their positive results. Every conversation is to be about them. As a result of my thoughts and experiences, One-On-One was launched in 2008. I heard the call to a greater task and my assignment as a career and life coach began. Personal and professional growth, and natural life discovery has prepared me to be your Coach!
